First of all Sienna's ambition in life is to make Bekam happy! We will be upstairs and randomly here the two of them downstairs craking up! Christmas was really great this year! We first went to breakfast on Christmas eve, and then went to meet Grandma Jensen to have her do build-a-bear with Sienna, came home to bake cookies for Santa, and then was off to see Grandma and Grandpa Perez! Christmas morning was really special with the kids. Bekam even got into opening the presents! What a year to remember.

The Curious Case of Sienna and Beads

So, the story is....Mom noticed that Sienna was sounding pretty nasally for a couple days and was bummed thinking that she was coming down with something. She was constantly sneezing and would have a little bit of a runny nose on just the right side. I thought to myself, "Dang it really sounds like there could be something in her nose." Well, we were in a hurry to go and take some family photos and I pulled Sienna out of her bath and layed her down to get her lathered up and dressed and saw that there was something blocking her nostril and thought it was a huge goober, so like usual, I took a q-tip and tried digging it out. Sienna screaming her head off and me trying my hardest to get this goober out of her nose it wasn't working. I took a double look and realized that goobers aren't pretty pastel pink. Realizing exactly what it was I gasped. I ran down to tell Diego neither of us believing it, we debated what we should do. I called the nurse at our Docs and they suggested to bring her in right away. On the way over, I call my mom to tell her to meet me there since I will need someone to take a video of it. (I'm sorry, but it was funny and I could not miss the opportunity to record this experience) As I am pulling into the Docs to park, I get pulled over by a jerk on a bike and yes, got a ticket on top of all this. He made me hold her down so that he could look up her nose to see if I was really telling the truth about why I was so distracted. What an idiot. Anyway, Todd the P.A. comes in and tells me that I am the one that is going to do it. I freaked and said that I could not be putting pliers up my little girls nose, that is why I was bringing her to him. He reassured me that I wouldn't be using the pliers, but that I was going to have to blow in her mouth. Oh man! So this is the result of it. And NO, Sienna was traumatized and never attempted to put a bead or anything else in her nose again! LESSON LEARNED!!!

Park City

Daddy stayed in Park city for a work convention and they reserved him a beautiful room. So, Saturday night the kids and I got to go up and see daddy and stay with him in his cool room. I honestly can say that I have never seen a nicer hotel in my life. The hotel was called Newpark Hotel

These were the stainless steel appliances. It had a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and sink. They also had a full supply of utensils and dishes.

Halloween Preview

Grandma Jensen is a big tease and likes to get reactions out of the kids, so Friday we invited Grandma to come and play with us while daddy was out of town and she showed up in her Halloween costume to see what Sienna would do. Well, Sienna was definitely confused and didn't like the whole witch look. But it gave Grandma a good laugh.

My Little Hairdresser

So I have a little story to tell you about Sienna. Ok, so I was coloring Auntie Cara's hair and was too lazy to clean up. (for those of you who don't know, Sienna is quite the little hairdresser and can see her following in mommy's footsteps) So, I was upstairs doing something and noticed that it was way too quiet and had been for a while. So, I started to panick and went downstairs to see Sienna sitting down on the couch holding the bowl of color that I had used a couple of hours before on Cara. She looked at me and told me, "I'm done mom!" My heart dropped to my stomache thinking that she had gotten color all over my couch and carpet. The next thing I notice was that she had perfectly place color on top of her head. My stomache hurt so much worse knowing that she has ruined her beautiful hair. So, I rushed her upstairs to get her in the bath and wash her hair out before it did anymore damamge then necessary. (So, that is the reason why I failed to get a picture of it and I am so bummed that I didn't) Luckily I was able to wash it before any damage was done. Now I have learned my lesson about leaving things out for her to play with.

I have fallen so in love with this little boy! I had no idea that new borns could be like this. For as much as I love my little girl, she was a hard baby with being colic and all. We knew that Sienna was going to give us a run for our money and we would always worry about her, and Bekam's so opposite. He is the most mellow little boy ever! Being a mommy of 2 really isn't hard. I also have to thank my wonderful hubby for this as well. He is so helpful and has made it a great experience for me.

So, I honestly thought that Bekam would look just like his big sister Sienna, but came out looking so different. He is light skinned and blue eyes and looks so much like my side of the family, and Sienna is our big brown eyed looking like her daddy's side of the family. But this is the one picture that looks just like Sienna did at this same age.

no matter how many things I did to try to get this baby out of me, I unfortunately still made it to my induce date! Luckily it was still a week before my due date. So, this is me waiting to be admitted. Very exciting time for us. this is what I look forward to the whole pregnancy.

4 hours later Bekam Andres Perez was born weighing in at 7 lbs 12 oz at 19 1/2 inches long. He was a whole pound and a half bigger than Sienna was and an inch taller too! It couldn't have been more perfect! 7/28/08

Daddy is so proud of his new son!

The first thing that I noticed once this little guy was out was that he had the biggest eyes I had ever seen, even through being swollen. He was absolutely perfect!

There is nothing more amazing than the experience of Labor and Delivery! There is nothing more rewarding.

I wanted so badly to share this with my wonderful mom who was there for me in my pregnancy when all I wanted to do was complain. She was so awesome to have there.

I don't think that anyone was more excited than Aunt Cara for this little boy to be born! She wanted another boy in the fam so bad for the sake of her poor little Jayden who was outnumbered by all girlies running around at get togethers. And I should probably mention that she has a special place in her heart for little boys too!

Ok, so I know that it has been way too long since I have last posted something and i honestly had no idea where to begin since I had so many pictures that I had taken in the past year and a half. New addition

Monday, February 5, 2007 there was a new addition to our extended family. Jayden Jared Briscoe! 6 lbs 8 oz. at 18 1/2 inches long! He was adorrible!! So, in other words, Sienna has a new BOY cousin!!! Mommy was able to see little Jayden born that day and her auntie Cara did Fabulous!!!

Sienna likes to crawl all over babies that are smaller than her, it makes her feel big and cool!

Well actually, I have to be honest, Jaycie couldn't stand much of a chance, nor did she really want to. The thing is everyone, Alene isn't quite the Aunt that I make it out to be. I had a duty to watch Jaycie while mommy and daddy went out on a date, and I had remembered that they told me a while back that they were starting to give Jaycie 10 oz. of formula since she enjoys eating so much! (seriously, if you saw this baby eat, you would think she was a starving child) Anyway, so, I gave her 10 oz. and there wasn't a drop left. Well, coming down to the truth, I heard wrong! The most they had ever given her at a time was 5-6 oz. Yeah, I know. But hey, it wasn't like I thought that 10 oz. was a good thing, I thought it was too much myself, but just went with it since I thought I had it all figured out! Luckily mommy and daddy forgave me and we all just had a laugh at how drunk Jaycie was for the night!

So, everyone, Jaycie didn't mind Sienna crawling all over her, she was just enjoying the fact that she had a full-beyond-full belly and relaxed.

Did I mention that Sienna had the stomache flu for a week this month? She went in for her 9 month check up and had lost 3 1/2 ilbs! She was 70th percentile in her weight, 50th in her height, and 50th in her head circumference. She is coming along great even though she was sick. The Doc said that she has some preserve and it was fine for her losing the weight that she did. Well, it must have been considering the fact that she is still in the 70th percentile!!!

Well I put her outside of the bathroom door to watch me get ready for the day, and the next thing I know, she is in the bathroom with me trying to get things off the shelf. Our trip to Reno

We took a vacation down to Reno for a few days and visited some of daddy's friends They had a little girl named Ashley who was 3 years old, and Sienna just loved her and got the biggest kick out of her. Sienna wanted to be just like her. Ashley also had a little dog named Xango who Sienna sometimes didn't know what to think of him. But he would just bark and Sienna would laugh. It was a good trip.

Sienna wanted to see her little friend Max before he left to California. She was so excited that she even pooped her pants! I mean it, really. So, Max was so kind to let Sienna borrow a brand new onezie. Mommy had to keep the bow on her head to maintain that girlyness.

"Can I take her home and keep her?" was what Sienna's second cousin Brianna asked us with complete sincerety. Daddy handled it a little better than mommy did and told Brianna, "If you took Sienna that would make us very sad." So after a little explaining of the few reasons why she could not take Sienna from us, she understood and just wanted to take care of Sienna the rest of the evening at Grandma Perez's house.

I am trying to get Sienna used to being on her tummy so that she can learn to have more movement. She usually has hated being on her tummy, but lately she has been doing really well. Isn't this face to dye for?
